2007

2007 has been a busy year so far and it is far from over. The events, most recent first were as follows

What terrible weather we had on Sunday 2nd December going to Great Ellingham for our lunch meeting at the Crown!  However 18 stalwart members made it albeit with only 4 ('hooded') Morgans in the car park!  We all enjoyed ourselves and the pub made us very welcome.  The Cooks were actually prepared for rain though, as their Roadster had just been treated to 3 new wiper blades

The Dukes Head once again hosted our planning meeting in November.

Badingham A glorious sunny autumn Sunday found us at the White Horse. There are also some arial pictures here

The Chequers, Thompson was where we had a very pleasant noggin.

Newmarket. A fascinating morning at the National Stud was followed by a bar-b-q at the Mays

GymKhana. Another great day courtesy of Ian and Dylis and a hardworking Maurice.

Brisley Despite a very rainy day a very pleasant evening was had in Brisley.

Dunwich. Dunwich is small village clinging to the edge of Suffolk. Not much more than a couple of streets now, it was once one of the most important ports on the east coast and even warranted its own bishop, which for some reason it still has.. We went there one sunny Sunday to sample the fish and chips.

Archants Print works. This was a fascinating introduction to the world of printing followed by an excellent meal at the fur and feathers. Much enjoyed by all.

Silver Jubilee Weekend. Yes the historic occasion of FolkMog's twenty five year birthday could not be passed up with a simple noggin or even a Sunday event. We went for the whole weekend and what a smashing weekend it was to.

Noggin at Saxted green. The pub was good and the food excellent. the company wasn't bad either.

Rivers-Fletcher A fascinating talk by Jeremy Rivers-Fletcher about his own and his father motor racing career.

Treasure hunt As has become usual the annual treasure hunt was held on foot. This year it was in Aldeburgh.

The Angel Larling. Some of us found the Angel, Larling difficult to locate. The search was well worth it though.

Not the Christmas Lunch FolkMogger always celebrates Christmas in the new year. They do not celebrate any less heartily though.

2006

2006 of course ended with the planning meeting for 2007. There were lots of other things going on though.

Planning Meeting was held in a pub In Somerleyton and a kind of rough and ready idea of the activities form the coming year was the result. Of course beer was drunk and food consumed - shouldn't need saying really.

Snetterton A trackday held at Snetterton was surprisingly under attended. Lots of fun was had by those there.

Noggin at Reepham drinks and food at Reepham attracted Simon who brought his spectacular Bugatti replica.

Gymkhana is another of those keystone events in the calendar. This year it was held at Ian and Dilys' home near Stowmarket and a cracking day it was to.

Ireland FolkMog went to Ireland for a week's holiday. It rained a tad but there was still lots to see and enjoy.
