Tuesday 19th July – 7 pm Evening Noggin at the Royal Harwich Yacht Club at the invitation of Ewan Stamp. The club is at Woolverstone Marina IP9 1AT on the banks of the River Orwell, 4 miles south east of the A14 Orwell bridge. The road to the club is off the B1456. Sunday 24th July - Ickworth picnic. Anglemog have invited us to join them for a picnic lunch at this National Trust property in Horringer, 3 miles south-west of Bury St Edmunds on west side of A143. IP29 5QE. www.nationtrust.org.uk We have been given permission to park in front of the Rotunda, backing onto the Terrace wall and facing the Rotunda. This is reached by driving past the main car park and carrying on towards the house. Look out for the FolkMog banner to guide you. Arrive from 11am and we will gather by the cars at noon for a picnic. Then we can all explore house or gardens as desired. If you need to know more contact Diana Biddlecombe.
Sunday 7th August – Helmingham Hall Festival of Classic & Sports Cars, Helmingham
Stowmarket, IP14 6EF About 8 miles north of Ipswich on the B1077. www.helmingham.com We will have a club stand at this event where we can park together and eat our picnics in the shelter of a gazebo. Please let Diana Biddlecombe know if you would like to come along as she is putting in a group entry for FolkMog and needs to know how many cars and people will be coming before the end of June. The cost is £10 for a car, driver and one passenger, plus £7 for any extra adult, & £ 2.50 per child. You will be sent an club pass to get you in and payments will be taken on the day once you are parked. They can be flexible over the odd late entry, but we should aim to give them our numbers in advance.
