It turned out to be a fine evening for a drive but earlier there had been an absolute downpour north of Aldringham which I suspect is why there were less than the normal turn out for the meeting at the Parrot and Punchbowl. As it was we did not have a huge distance to drive as Aldeburgh is less than a mile away. Despite this we were not first to arrive as Ian Charity was waiting in the car park. In the end twelve stalwarts turned out and we had a very pleasant meal. I am glad to say that we gave up our reserved tables in time for the pub to feed others.
At the end of the evening we were joined by newcomers Christine and Trevor Phillips who had been too shy to join us earlier. I hope we were friendly enough to encourage them to return.
After we arrived home we received a phone call from Ian Charity. He had been following David, and Heather Kennett and noticed a complete absence of rear lighting on his car. They returned to us to see if we had any available tools and fuses. We were able to supply a head torch which David used to good effect under the dashboard of his four/four where he found a loose connection. So of they went into the night with Ian following behind so that he could warn them if it happened again. The joys of Morgan motoring!!
