Sunday 10th February dawned a beautiful day in Norfolk, the sharp frost
was soon gone and the sun broke through strongly - just the weather for getting
Morgans out for their first good run of the year. So thought the FolkMog
owners of 14 Morgans who converged on the Alby Horseshoes pub, Erpingham
with not a hood in sight and 5 cars even minus sidescreens so as better to
enjoy the experience. We had a very broad collection of traditional Morgans
present - 4/4s, Plus 4s, Plus 8s, Roadsters and a 3 wheeler F4.
It was a
really excellent meeting with much chat outside around the cars before we
were invited into the bar by mine host Richard to partake first liquid refreshment
before moving us into our own room for an excellent repast. The conversation
which never flagged, ranged from all things Morgan to the forthcoming FolkMog
French Tour later in the year. Most of us arrived at noon as the pub opened
and the gathering didn’t break up until gone 3 pm. which gave enough time
for some to visit the adjacent craft centre. A meeting to remember for a
long time.
