Last Meeting: The Widmill

Folkmog and Anglemog at Ixworth

An evening in Great Cressingham

I am having a bit of a bad Morgan month so far. On Wednesday 9th May I found myself double booked for the evening. This meant I missed an evening meal at one of the nicer places we wen’t to last year. I had been looking forward to it a great deal so it is with a little bit of envy that I can share with you Ken Prentice’s report of the evening.

18 brave soles ventured forth into the darkest of West Norfolk, driving rain & cool conditions did not deter, although hood down was only for the very brave.

Six Morgan's & a couple of Tin-tops conveyed us all to a fine meal in very hospitable surroundings. Nice to meet some new members.Only black spot on the evening was our collision with a Deer on the A47 east of Norwich when heading home. Poor old Mog has retired hurt to Stratton Motors for some serious repair work (hopefully). There some photographs of the event  here.

Many thanks to Ken and Liz for their hard work in organising this dinner.

The news gets steadily worse for me and my Morgan. I have, at last got a date for my gallbladder removal (I really won’t miss it) which is 25th May. This means that I am currently on a ridiculous diet of three pints of milk, two yogurts and two vitamin tablets a day. So I will not be able to make the meeting on 20th May. Gallbladders are the sand in the picnic of life.

Next Meeting: The Cadogan Arms, 20th May

Roger Coverly is organising a lunchtime meeting at the Cadogan Arms, Ingham, Bury St Edmunds. Meeting at midday. Please let Roger know if you are coming.

Ten days after that (30th May) Ray and Liz McEniff are organising a lunch meeting at the Kings Head North Lopham. Please contact Ray and Liz to let them know that you are coming.
